This question was bothering me for a long time. I think you all notice how many slots have childish/cartoonish themes, especially a lot of netent slots. Now, slots supposed to be for adults only, right? Then why on earth so many games are basically made with all these childish themes? Do you think big companies (like netent) use this to lure underaged players to become full time addict gamblers when they grow up? Is this some sort of "investment in future" by gambling companies?

I noticed this too and I think you are right, they are trying trap youngsters in advance so they will be gamblers in future. but some cartoon slots are really nice I must say and grown up people enjoy them too, the renowned space wars for instance

I think that is a psychology trick. They must remind a gambler about childhood. It usually brings comfort feelings.
