The IGT (short for International GameTechnology) develops and provides gambling platforms both for land-based and online casinos. 

IGT became famous in 1970s. Their slot machines were located in many casinos in the USA. IGT became one of the first companies to introduce digital technologies in slot machines. In the late 80th the company released Nevada Megabucks machines. They became first progressive jackpot slots in the world. Nevada Megabucks machines were linked with each other, and the main jackpot was about $1 mln. 

IGT focused on rapidly growing online gambling market in 2005 and took over WagerWorks, one of the biggest providers of software for online casinos at that time. By 2010, IGT ranked high on the market and won over 50 awards. IGT was merged by GTECH in 2015. To a great surprise, the name of the brand IGT was changed in favor of GTECH.
